LETTER FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

I think we can all agree the past year was one like no other. For many of us, both professionally and personally, 2020 provided many unique challenges. Other orga - nizations saw these as obstacles and struggled to overcome what came their way. However, time and again, the FBINAA has shown the innate ability to take those chal - lenges head on and overcome them. 2020 proved to be no diȂerent. Our world has quickly become a virtual community. Zoom calls, which once were “nice to haves”, are now the order of the day. Large conventions and Chapter Training events, where we had the opportunity to network and participate in education face- to-face, are now done from our desktops, laptops and smartphones. Our goal was to make these events interactive, informative and time well spent. In 2020, the Associa - tion did just that. These virtual events, some of which were put into practice for the ޔ rst time in 2020, will continue through the ޔ rst half of 2021. They will continue to provide to our members the same opportunities to meet, share ideas, and enhance our leadership abilities as members of the law enforcement community. While we can’t foresee what the second half of 2021 will bring, we are hopeful to be able to participate in these events in a live environment. No matter how we meet and interact, the Association’s Mission remains the same: To impact communities by providing and promoting law enforcement leadership through training and networking. Thank you all for your continued dedication to and involvement in the FBI National Academy Associates in 2020. Our organization and our members are strong and resilient, and I look forward to my involvement in the coming year and beyond.

MEMBERS ARE GRADUATES OF THE FBI ’S PRESTIGIOUS NATIONAL ACADEMY PROGRAM. FBINAA MEMBERS REPRESENT ALL 50 U.S. STATES, 194 COUNTRIES AND OVER 8, 200 LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES WORLD-WIDE. OVER 50,000 GRADUATES HAVE COMPLETED THE FBINA PROGRAM SINCE ITS INCEPTION IN 1935.
